Ngee Ann Polytechnic is a member of the Global Innovation Alliance with Enterprise Singapore and spearheads a programme called the Global Entrepreneurial Internship Programme (GEIP), where we send aspiring student entrepreneurs on a 22-week overseas internship programme that provides them with an opportunity to experience the realities of start-up life in entrepreneurial hotspots around the world. Started in 2016, we have sent students to more than 15 cities around the world for entrepreneurial internships; Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Jakarta, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City.
Ngee Ann Polytechnic was established in 1963 with just 116 students and offered courses in language, commerce and technology. Six decades on, Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) now offers 36 full-time diploma courses and five common entry programmes through nine academic schools and has a full-time student population of more than 13,000.
Our alumni community of over 170,000 is ever growing, with many making a difference across a broad spectrum of industries both locally and overseas.
We also support Continuing Education and Training (CET) through NP’s CET Academy, which offers a wide range of part-time programmes and short courses. We work closely with esteemed industry partners to curate programmes focusing on emerging skills, develop talent pipeline for the industries, and help adult learners stay agile in today’s ever-evolving global economy.
