Company Description
Bangkok International School for Athletes (BISA) is a purpose-built international boarding school and high-performance sports ecosystem in Bangkok, created to help young athletes pursue sporting excellence without compromising their education.
Scheduled to open in August 2027, BISA will be the educational centrepiece of North Star Park, an integrated sports, education and wellness development near Suvarnabhumi International Airport, approximately two and a half hours by air from Singapore.
Specialising in tennis and golf, BISA brings international academics, elite coaching, sports science, physical conditioning, recovery and boarding together on one campus. Its programmes draw on internationally recognised expertise:
- Tennis: In partnership with Emilio Sánchez Vicario, former ATP World No. 7 and multiple Grand Slam champion, with support from former ATP professional and Asian Games gold medalist Danai Udomchoke.
- Golf: Led by BISA Head of Golf Kris Assawapimonporn, with mentorship and guidance from Atthaya "Jeeno" Thitikul, two-time Women's World No. 1.
Guided by its five-pillar Pentara Framework, BISA supports pathways to professional sport, NCAA Division I athletic scholarships and leading international universities, while preparing students for successful lives beyond competition.
Company Background
BISA was founded on a simple belief: young athletes should not have to choose between an excellent education and the training required to compete at the highest level.
Inspired by its founder's experience as a competitive junior tennis player and international-school parent, BISA was designed to overcome the limitations of conventional school timetables and extracurricular sports programmes. Its model coordinates academic learning with daily training, competition, recovery and personal development.
For families across Southeast Asia, BISA offers a closer-to-home alternative to sports academies in Europe and North America. It aims to become a regional hub for student-athlete development and collaboration in education and sport.
BISA — Bring Your Best.
The planned opening remains subject to relevant Thai regulatory approvals.
