One of the most famous schools in Britain, Harrow, in 1998 granted an agreement to open a second school, Harrow International School (HIS) in Bangkok.
The school moved to its spacious 150 rai campus at Don Muang in September 2003, where a typical British day and boarding school education is provided for students aged from 3 months to 18 years. The school is Accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is a member of the Federation of British international Schools in South and East Asia (FOBISSEA) and the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT)
For pupils whose home is a considerable distance from school, or whose parents live overseas, Harrow International is able to offer excellent boarding school facilities on its secure and safe campus. These facilities are available for pupils between the ages of 8 and 18.
The school has a total of 1,200 students, representing 29 different nationalities, taught predominantly by British staff. At HIS the medium of instruction is English and the school offers a broad and balanced curriculum leading to IGCSE, A/S and A Level examinations. The latter qualifies pupils for direct admission to top universities in the UK, other English-speaking countries and worldwide. Harrow has a very wide ranging extra curricular programme, giving pupils opportunities to develop their artistic and sporting talents and interests to a high level.
English Language instruction is also available as part of the programme offered by the school on Saturdays and during the Christmas, Songkran and summer vacations. The holiday courses, which vary in length from 1 to 3 weeks, also provide a range of sports and activities.
